Featherweight Sewing Machines
Featherweight sewing machines were made by Singer from 1933 up to 1944. Although that is not considered to be long, there were many produced during that time period. Since they work so well and are so durable they are still a popular machine today.
Based on their light weight and their small size they are best for travel or bringing back and forth to your classes. They do not include any fancy features like today's machines but have a unique antique look to them.
The majority of them come in black and some were made in green during the latter years. When taken care of properly they will run for years.
